When I am Weak

Remember:

• you go in our LORD’s strength,
• you stand and speak by The POWER of GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT living in you
• your past is proof our God is with/for us and nothing can be against us!
• you are speaking about your weakness to boast of Jesus strength, to give ALL the GLORY due unto the LORD!
• Pauls ‘thorn in the flesh’ used to humble him

“My grace is sufficient for you,

for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Therefore I will glory all the more in my weakness

for when I am weak then I am strong”

Lord, may you be glorified as in our lives however weak we are,

we may shares what a faithful God you are in those times of weakness.

Lord may those going be encouraged and reminded

through whatever storms we face you are our anchor, you never leave us.

In Jesus name, amen.

Evening prayers

Thou hast promised thy beloved sleep;

Give me restoring rest needful for

tomorrow’s toil;

If dreams be mine,

let them not be tinged with evil.

Let thy Spirit make my time of repose

a blessed temple of his holy presence.’

Psalm 139

Psalm 139
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1
You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.

2
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

4
Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.

5
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.

6
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

7
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

8
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

9
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

11
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,’

12
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17
How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!

18
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand –
when I awake, I am still with you.

19
If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!

20
They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.

21
Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?

22
I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.

23
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

The black fog or mist or dog

Do you battle The black fog or mist or black dog?

As depression has been so often described as a black fog or mist which comes over you or the sufferer.

Do you suffer from a flood of depression or darkness, which just seems to come uninvited and vanishes into the blackness from where it came?

I want you to have hope.

Our Heavenly Father is “El Roi” ‘The God who sees me’ where I am.

Our Heavenly Father sees the tired, heavy heart we carry.

He knows our past hurts of all the wounds we have suffered.

He sees our future and remembers His promise to save you.

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’

Psalm 34:18

It isn’t the thing you do, dear

It isn’t the thing you do, dear,
It’s the thing you leave undone,
Which gives you the bitter heartache
At the setting of the sun;
The tender word unspoken,
The letter you did not write,
The flower you might have sent, dear,
Are your haunting ghosts at night.
The stone you might have lifted
Out of your brother’s way,
The bit of heartsome counsel
You were hurried too much to say;
The loving touch of the hand, dear,
The gentle and winsome tone,
That you had no time or thought for,
With troubles enough of your own.
These little acts of kindness,
So easily out of mind,
These chances to be angels,
Which even mortals find
They come in night and silence,
Each chill reproachful wraith,
When hope is faint and flagging,
And a blight has dropped on faith.
For life is all too short, dear.
And sorrow is all too great,
To suffer our slow compassion
That tarries until too late.
And it’s not the thing you do, dear,
It’s the thing you leave undone,
Which gives you the bitter heartache,
At the setting of the sun.

“You Know My Name” Tasha Cobbs Leonard (feat. Jimi Cravity)

You know my name

You Know My Name”
(feat. Jimi Cravity)

[Jimi Cravity]
He knows my name
He knows my name
He knows my name
Yes He knows my name
And oh how He walks with me
Yes oh how He talks with me
And oh how He tells me
That I am His own

[Tasha Cobbs Leonard:]
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
And oh how You comfort me
And oh how You counsel me
Yet it still amazes me
That I am Your friend

[Tasha Cobbs Leonard & Jimi Cravity:]
So now, I pour out
My heart to You
Here in Your presence
I am made new
So now, I pour out
My heart to You
Here in Your presence
I am made new

[Tasha Cobbs Leonard:]
And You know my name
And You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
And oh how You walk with me
Oh how You talk with me
Oh how You tell me
That I am Your own

God, You know me
So I trust You in my life, yeah

No fire can burn me
No battle can turn me
No mountain can stop me
‘Cause You hold my hand
Now I’m walking in Your victory
‘Cause Your power is within me
No giant can defeat me
‘Cause You hold my hand
No fire can burn me
No battle can turn me
No mountain can stop me
‘Cause You hold my hand
Now I’m walking in Your victory
‘Cause Your power is within me
No giant can defeat me
‘Cause You hold my hand
No fire can burn me
No battle can turn me
No mountain can stop me
‘Cause You hold my hand
Now I’m walking in Your victory
‘Cause Your power is within me
No giant can defeat me
‘Cause You hold my hand…

You hold my hand (You hold my hand)
I don’t have to be afraid, no (You hold my hand)
I don’t have to be afraid, no (You hold my hand)
I don’t have to be afraid (You hold my hand)
You hold my hand (You hold my hand)
You hold my hand (You hold my hand)
I’m so in love with You (You hold my hand)
I’m so in love with You (You hold my hand)
You hold my hand (You hold my hand)
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh (You hold my hand)
You hold my hand (You hold my hand)
You hold my hand (You hold my hand)

You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
And oh how You walk with me
And oh how You talk with me
Oh how You tell me
That I am Your own

Prayer “Lord, help me to glorify thee;” (C.H. Spurgeon)

“Lord, help me to glorify thee;

I am poor; help me to glorify thee by contentment;

I am sick; help me to give thee honour by patience;

I have talents; help me to extol thee by spending them for thee;

I have time; Lord, help me to redeem it, that I may serve thee;

I have a heart to feel; Lord, let that heart feel no love but thine, and glow with no flame but affection for thee;

I have a head to think; Lord, help me to think of thee and for thee; thou hast put me in this world for something;

Lord, show me what that is, and help me to work out my life-purpose:

I cannot do much; but as the widow put in her two mites, which were all her living, so, Lord, I cast my time and eternity too into thy treasury;

I am all thine; take me, and enable me to glorify thee now,

in all that I say, in all that I do, and with all that I have.”
