Wandering walks enable time to ponder and pray

The walled garden  ~ Author unknown

Your marriage should have within it a secret and protected space, open to you alone. Imagine it to be a walled garden, entered by a door to which you only hold the key. Within this garden you will cease to be a mother, father, employee, homemaker or any other of the roles which you fulfil in daily life. Here you can be yourselves, two people who love each other. Here you can concentrate on one another’s needs. So take each other’s hands and go forth to your garden. The time you spend together is not wasted but invested – invested in your future and nurture of your love.

Depth of Mercy

1. Depth of mercy! Can there be
mercy still reserved for me?
Can my God his wrath forbear,
me, the chief of sinners, spare?

2. I have long withstood his grace,
long provoked him to his face,
would not hearken to his calls,
grieved him by a thousand falls.

3. I my Master have denied,
I afresh have crucified,
oft profaned his hallowed name,
put him to an open shame.

4. There for me the Savior stands,
shows his wounds and spreads his hands.
God is love! I know, I feel

Jesus weeps and loves me still.

5. Now incline me to repent,
let me now my sins lament,
now my foul revolt deplore,
weep, believe, and sin no more.

Reading the Psalms and I’m sure David suffered depression…

I read about Jesus love, healing sick, prayers for believers, his return… also Paul’s letters and encouragement about suffering.
Personally, I believe that the devil attacks us with depression so we look inward instead upward.

So… Look up!

Heaven – see Jesus

What’s He doing?

In the throneroom if heaven

Job done!

Full of glory & grace!

Awaiting Father’s timing to return for believers and then judge the rest.

Praying –
‘When the road is rough and steep,

Fix your eyes upon Jesus.

He alone has power to keep
Fix your eyes uopn Him’

Is there’s any justice in this world?

Is there any justice in this world?

Sometimes no, sometimes a sort of justice.

I’ve learned, in all we face in life, whatever the outcome, we may entrust it to God who knows the truth, to know Jesus personally as our Saviour and Lord. Sometimes it takes facing or hitting rock-bottom before we realise the bigger picture! One day we will all meet our creator, so be ready, accept you ignored God, believe Jesus died for you, seek forgiveness and live for Jesus! Fix your eyes on Jesus, viewing this world in the light of eternity!

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

 Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all

When Darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
He is Lord
Lord of all

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless stand before the throne.

Christ alone; cornerstone
Weak made strong; in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all
He is Lord
Lord of all

Out of suffering

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seamed with scars; martyrs have put on their coronation robes glittering with fire, and through their tears have the sorrowful first seen the gates of Heaven.

I shall know by the gleam and glitter
Of the golden chain you wear,
By your heart’s calm strength in loving,
Of the fire you have had to bear.
Beat on, true heart, forever;
Shine bright, strong golden chain;
And bless the cleansing fire
And the furnace of living pain!
